What is the procedure for obtaining an apostille?
An apostille is a special stamp that certifies the authenticity of an official document for use in another country that is part of the 1961 Hague Convention. At AZURIT, we help clients get apostilles quickly and safely.
🔍 How the apostille process works:
Document review:
We begin by checking the type of document (certificate, diploma, extract, etc.) to determine the issuing authority and the appropriate body for apostille processing.
Identifying the competent authority:
In Ukraine, apostilles are issued by:
Ministry of Justice — for civil registry documents, court decisions, notarized documents
Ministry of Education and Science — for diplomas, school certificates, academic records
Ministry of Foreign Affairs — for other official documents (e.g., police records, tax documents)
Submission of documents:
You can bring your originals to our office or send them by courier. We also assist with making certified copies, translations, and notarizations as needed.
Apostille processing:
We submit the documents to the relevant ministry and monitor the entire process. Turnaround time ranges from 1 to 5 business days, depending on the authority.
Return of apostilled documents:
Once completed, we return your documents in person or via delivery — within Kyiv, across Ukraine, or internationally.
